Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is an opportunity to learn while working. Apprenticeships are related to many different career fields, most commonly construction related careers. Other apprenticeship opportunities exist in gas and oil industries, mining, fishing, and health careers. Apprenticeships vary in length from 2 years to 5 years. An apprentice spends a required amount of time in the classroom each year and also works and gets paid while learning on the job site from professionals in the career field. Apprenticeships can be good alternatives to attending college or technical school.

Military Opportunities
Service is both a way to see the world and learn valuable skills that can be transferred into civilian life – and many enlistees would not have the opportunity to attend college or purchase a house without the benefits associated with military service. Pay attention to the announcement for when recruiters are coming in to talk to one personally. Or come by the office and request a card for the branch you are interested in.
